Drosicha mangiferae (Green) is a serious pest of mango in North India. The infestation of mealybug starts from December when clawlers migrate from soil to trees and congregate on the terminal shoots. All the seven insecticides viz., BHC 10 per cent dust, Heptachlor 5 per cent dust, Aldrin 5 per cent dust, Chlordane 5 per cent dust, Diazinon 0.03 per cent, Malathion 0.03 per cent and Lindane 0.03 per cent tested against this pest were found effective and superior over control. However within treatments no significant difference was observed.
