A study was conducted to increase the germination of sweet pepper (C. annuum) seeds under low temperature using pre-hydration techniques and osmotic conditioning or priming. The seeds of sweet pepper hybrid Atenas AG-322 were subjected to constant temperatures of 20, 25, and 30 degrees C or alternating temperatures of 20-30 degrees C. The seeds were imbibed in distilled water (pre-hydration) for 0, 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 h then dried.
