1992

Exposure to dust, ammonia and endotoxins was measured in 23 poultry confinement buildings during the winter of 1990-1991. Dust levels in houses with young hens (<= 20 weeks of age) were 1.4 mg/msuperscript 3 higher than in houses with hens older than 20 weeks. The dust level in houses that were cleaned during the study was 0.5 mg/msuperscript 3 lower than in houses that were not cleaned.
