Peasant conduct and social change in Peru: cooperatives and individual land tenure

In the last few years a widespread concept has been that land co-operatives are a rational and efficient form of propitiating agricultural development in societies experiencing agrarian reform or other changes. The co-operative sustains the trend towards cultural advancement, promotes social integration and at the same time increases productivity and earning levels. Tables are given showing the distribution and redistribution of land in Peru between 1961 and 1979.
