During 1981 at Becker, Minnesota on a 1-yr stand of lucerne Iroquois, midday plant water potentials in high (H) and medium high (MH) irrigation treatments ranged from -0.7 to -1.3 MPa throughout the season. In lucerne given medium low irrigation (ML) or rainfed (U) treatments, water potential reached -2.7 and -4.0 MPa, resp.
