The experiment was made in the Saumjan district of Armenia with 2 groups of 20 calves, one aged initially 5 days and the other 6 months. In the first 6 months of life the young calves received 240 kg whole milk, 400 kg skimmed milk, hay to appetite and concentrates, and half of them got with the milk 15 mg cobalt chloride every 3 days until they were 3 months old, then after a month's break it was given again.
