Of the six grape varieties tested during 1978-81, Riesling, Fetyaska Belaya and Vydvizhenets had a high coefficient of fruit production from the lower buds regularly each year, while Saperavi and Cabernet Sauvignon had a low coefficient. Rkatsiteli was intermediate in this respect.
