Influence of developmental stage and season on yield and composition of summer savory (Satureja hortensis L.) essential oil

Two field experiments were established at Quedlinburg, north of the Harz mountains in spring and summer 2004 to investigate the influence of season (summer and autumn cultivation) and developmental stage at harvest date during the flowering period on yield components and ingredients of summer savory essential oil. Samples of the drill-sowing were taken weekly, commencing at beginning, and lasting until the end of flowering.
