Studies on the suitability of comfrey as feed for pigs

Studies were done on substitution of fresh comfrey for up to 25% of the concentrates or of comfrey meal for up to 20% of the concentrates in diets for fattening of pigs. Effects on weight gain, carcass weight, dressed weight, dressing percentage and fat thickness (at the shoulder, back and loin) were investigated. Tables of results are given.
