In a group of 75 pregnant women, the rate of vaginal candidiasis by a microscopic check of the vaginal secretion was 14.7% (11 cases). Such patients were treated with vaginal capsules of miconazole 400 mg, deeply introduced into the vagina, 1/day and for 3 consecutive days. Seven days after the treatment, the culture check test was negative in 10 patients of 11 (90.9%), in these cases the symptomatology also disappeared. The only positive patient after the mycological examination and the 1st cycle of treatment was treated with a 2nd cycle of 3 days. Then, the culture test was negative and also the symptoms disappeared. The initial recovery occurred on the average after 1.5 days, while the symptoms completely disappeared on the average after 3.2 days. The treatment was well tolerated by all patients.
