The botanical oils neem, thymol, and canola were examined for control of parasitic mites (Varroa jacobsoni and Acarapis woodi) in honey bee (Apis mellifera) colonies in British Columbia, Canada. Neem oil spray (5% solution) killed 90+or-6% of varroa mites, 3 times more than that died in the untreated group.
