The object of these experiments at the Scilly Isles Experiment Station, St. Mary's, was to determine the possibility of using Bordeaux mixture for the control of narcissus fire (Sclerotinia polyblastis), the chief fungus disease of Narcissus tazetta varieties, which are grown commercially in the open in south-west England.
