Notes are given on the morphology and life history of Pharoscymnus horni, a predator of Chrysomphalus ficus on tea that was first recorded on this prey species near Tocklai, India, in 1983 and also attacks scale pests of sugarcane in India and Mauritius. In the laboratory, the egg stage lasted 4-5 days, the larval stage 9-12 days and the prepupal and pupal stages 5-6 days each.
