Developmental stages of C. fraxini described are: eggs, larvae, nymphs and adults. Except for the hypopus these stages were so far undescribed. Larvae and nymphs of 2 generations differed in body shape and, females differed in the lengths of setae on legs, propodosoma and hysterosoma. Adults showed a pronounced sexual dimorphism. The descriptive terminology of Zakhvatkin (1941) and Griffiths (1964) was used.
