In greenhouse pot trials, applications of NaCl or Na2SO4 at 5 concentrations markedly affected the nutrient element content of the plants. Data on the K, Na, Ca, Mg, P and N contents in the roots, stems, leaves, flowers and capsules at different growth stages are tabulated and discussed in relation to the physiological functions of the organs.
